diagnostics, conservation and enhancement of the archaeological heritage
and its material sources in Basilicata and Calabria
PP 4.1.3 deals with designing, implementing, developing, experimenting and validating digital platforms and protocols for archaeological projects and investigations, from the predictive phase to post-processing actions.
In particular, the project intends:
to develop diagnostic protocols for the non-destructive and/or micro-destructive compositional and morphological analysis of relevant archaeological artifacts shared with research institutions and public administrations for further applications;
to carry out geo-geomorphological studies and research in the field using magnetometers, drones, satellite orthophotos and cartography;
to create virtual and solid 3D models (from 3D printing) of the anomalies deriving from non-invasive investigations;
to contribute to the process of creating a protocol for predictive/preventive archeology;
to enhance the database of archaeological woods in Southern Italy;
to create a platform for the cataloging of archaeological areas with similar geomorphological, hydrogeological, pedological and vegetational and edaphological characteristics;
to create protocols for the use of autochthonous microorganisms and for the extraction of bioactive substances for biocleaning, already consolidated in vitro and in vivo, and for the production and physicochemical characterization of chitosan from insects;
to design, to implement and to develop platforms for the dissemination of archaeological data;
to develop common criteria and standards on data practices;
to identify a digital service technology/platform to share data, to integrate the information available at the various levels of public administration and to increase the efficiency of information flows in favor of more efficient strategic and landscape planning tools.
